The Airplane Boys Live @ Rivoli
Bon Voyage
Truly a night to remember…
I swear 2009 was the quickest year ever lived by man. Travel with me back to sometime in late November 08.

There I was in the Scarborough Town Center rec anxiously finishing up my Seneca @ York application for The Independent Music Production program, only to find minutes later I’d missed the deadline to make it for a January enrollment. “@*$#*%!” I said… All that work for nothing! I then called Mannie to shared the depressing news with him. Coming to the conclusion of the converation we came to the cliché, pitty, pat on the back phrase that works most of the time when feeling down about a loss…
“Everything happens for a reason.”

In this case that very phrase stood true. I fell back, prayed, wrote verses and went to work for the next 4 months. All the while I was diligent pursuit to find inspiration. Periodically I would call John Switzer (IMP coordinator), and remind him how eager I was to be a part of the program. September would be to late for me to start school and just didn’t fit in The Airplane Boys schedule for world domination. Muhuhaha =)

So yeh.. it’s March now and John called me to give the good word that I can start in May … “YESS”! I was in and timing couldn’t be better. I was now part of IMP 11 aka The May Intake. A small class that started with sixteen students and ended with 14 well crafted musicians ready to take on the battleground of a music industry ahead. I must say I don’t think it was the best course for me since I’ve already taken a similar course at Centennial Collage and have some industry experience already, but I don’t regret one moment of it. I learned some very valuable lessons, along with a stronger sense of security in my self as an artist. I took pointers from my class mates and found a refreshing sense of humility amongst them. And for that I am thankful.
Shout out to all of y'all !
Alex, Imann, Mykal, Sash Money, One Shott, Dan the Man, Drew aka Mr.coffee and a butt, Mitch, Ben, Amelia, Mikey G.. without you i wouldn't have finished, Ryan, Dave, Adam, Switzer! , even Jarvis lol... and last but not least myself. =) May God bless your future paths...

“Flash Forward”
It’s January 20th 2010 and its time for our Graduation show @ the Rivoli. Maaaann we killed it ! The place was rammed with people and they were moving! Word to U-Haul trucks. Truly A night to remember… Another closed chapter in my book of life. On to the next one.
Sincerely, Bon Voyage
